Frequently asked question

General information

Just your ID card, Hungarian Health Insurance Card (even if you don’t have insurance but have a TAJ number), and any previous dental records that may be relevant (e.g., X-rays taken within the last year (in email is sufficient)).

Upon arrival, we will register you at the reception desk and ask you to fill out a medical history form with your personal details and health information. We will then take a panoramic X-ray, the doctor will assess the condition of your teeth, determine your status, and put together a personalized treatment plan for the necessary treatments. You can also consult about possible tooth replacement or cosmetic procedures.

It is important to indicate if you have any chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, heart problems), drug sensitivities, or allergies, or if you take medication regularly. This will help us plan your treatment safely. You must also disclose any infectious diseases you may have (e.g., hepatitis, HIV).

Booking

You can book an appointment by phone, email, or in person at our reception. For English communication, email is the most effective option, but we are also happy to assist you in English by phone.

In general, we recommend booking your appointment 2–3 weeks in advance. For certain doctors, waiting times may be longer; however, our reception team will always offer you the earliest available appointment.

We kindly ask you to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so that the freed time slot can be offered to another patient.

We primarily operate on an appointment-only basis; however, in urgent cases such as severe toothache, swelling, or a broken tooth, we make every effort to provide an appointment as soon as possible, even on the same day.
Please contact us by phone so we can check for any cancellations or available time slots. If no immediate appointment is available, we will place you on a waiting list and notify you right away should an opportunity arise. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept walk-in patients without a prior appointment, as our daily schedule is planned based on pre-booked consultations.

Treatment & treatment plans

The treatment plan provides a detailed breakdown of the required and requested procedures, along with their individual costs and the total treatment fee.

In such cases, we prepare several treatment plans, for example with different types of crowns or orthodontic appliances, allowing you to choose based on your needs and preferences. During the consultation, your treating doctor will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each option so you can make an informed decision.

Yes, local anesthesia is available for all treatments that may involve any level of discomfort. In most cases, we proactively recommend anesthesia to ensure a completely pain-free experience. However, anesthesia is also provided upon request, even if only minimal discomfort is expected. Thanks to our modern techniques, the administration of the anesthetic injection is virtually painless, allowing the treatment to be carried out as comfortably as possible.

The duration of a treatment plan largely depends on the number and type of procedures required. A simple filling can often be completed in a single visit, while implant treatment may take several months, and orthodontic treatment can require one to two years. Your treating doctor will inform you of the expected timeframe during the treatment planning consultation.

Fees & paying

We accept cash and bank card payments, including Visa, MasterCard, and Apple Pay.

Yes, we cooperate with several health funds. We issue health fund–compliant invoices for treatments, which can be paid by cash or bank card. You may then submit the invoice to your own health fund to claim reimbursement.
Please note that as a private dental clinic, we do not provide treatments covered by public health insurance.

Payment is required only for the treatments performed at each visit. The total amount shown in the treatment plan is for informational purposes only and does not need to be paid in full upfront.

Pediatric dentistry

It is recommended to take your child to the dentist at an early age, ideally between 3 and 5 years old. Early visits allow for a quick check-up, help the child become familiar with the dental environment, and make future appointments more comfortable and positive experiences.

It is important to talk about the dentist in a calm and playful way and avoid creating fear or anxiety. A first visit in a friendly environment helps children become more comfortable with dental care. You can also talk through what will happen during the visit or even role-play it at home, as children feel more confident when they know what to expect. We always strive to create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere for our patients and like to surprise our youngest visitors with a small treat after their appointment.

Of course. One adult companion is always welcome to accompany our minor patients and provide support during the treatment.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to call us or send us an email.
